Winter: Get Your Knife License

This is a unique session, to thoroughly go through the basics of using a knife safely to keep your child safe. Everything from carving techniques, to knife care, as well as harvesting appropriately from Te Ngāhere.  Perfect for the novice, and the seasoned beginner, as they learn new ways of safely whittling and carving in a bush environment. Led by Gunther Hammer, a wood crafter and teacher. There will be ample time for eco-literacy games, stories and free play. 

With our small class sizes, we will still operate. 

Age: 8 - 13-year-olds 

Time: 9 - 4pm 

Location:  Maanaki Mai,  Purau
