Firekeepers 'Ahi-ka' (Spring)

We learn about cycles through close awareness and observation to see how we are part of an interconnected web - everything relates to everything else. We ask the how, and the why, and seek to understand the unique ecology through both te ao Maori and te ao Pakeha (worldviews) in the bush, and down by the sea. 

This programme also spends time on a working farm, where we explore the origins and cycles of food, fibre and agri-tech solutions, through forming deeper relationships with the animals and land. We aim to ignite their passions, awe and wonder for their place in the natural world. 

Age: 7 - 13-year-olds (younger siblings are welcome but must be able to handle a longer learning cycle) 

Time: 9 – 3 pm  

Dates:  6 sessions: October 21st - November 25th 2021

Shared morning tea available for all on 21st October 2021 (9 - 10 am)

Shared lunch and giving back (reciprocity) on 25th November (12.30 - 2.45 pm)

Cancellation day (due to an event beyond the control of Bush Farm) is on the 2nd Dec
