Autumn: One Day School

As the autumn comes, the trees change colour, lose their leaves, and the weather gets cooler.  Farmers work on their fall harvest by collecting a reserve of crops. Foragers find the last of the fruits and nuts.  It is also time to focus on creating a comforting and warm space, time by the fire and stories as we eat.   In this term course, we will do all this and more. We will harvest, make and create delightful foods. We will forage, and learn about the seed cycles. We will learn from the cows and what they do in this season, as well as ample time, cooking and eating over the fire. Ultimately, autumn doubles as a practice for heightened awareness of ourselves and our surroundings.

Age:  7- 13 years old (although younger siblings are welcomed, if in a family group)

Dates: 8 sessions: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th May; 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th June

Time:  10 - 2 pm

Other information: 

Celebration shared-picnic and giving back to the farm on the 24th June @ 12pm (with parents)
